ONE DAYTONA Moves Forward with Inaugural Art Festival November 14-15

Daytona Beach, Fla. (October 9, 2020) – ONE DAYTONA will host its inaugural art festival Brushes, Bites & Blues Presented by Brown & Brown Insurance and in partnership with Gallery500, a contemporary fine art gallery at ONE DAYTONA. The juried and non-juried outdoor fine art show will be held Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival encourages attendees to maintain social distance and wear masks when indoors and when social distancing is not possible. Hand sanitizing stations will be prevalent throughout the facility.

“We are happy to host one of the only outdoor art festivals in the area this year and welcome the community to enjoy the weekend featuring artists from across the country,” stated Lesa Kennedy, Gallery500 Owner. “We believe Brushes, Bites & Blues will offer an exciting cultural experience for area residents and visitors.”

The free festival will feature approximately 90 fine artists and fine craft artisans. The festival stage in
Victory Circle will feature a DJ and live blues entertainment both days from the Buddy Blues Band, Docs
of Dixie and Tanner Keegan.

The weekend’s festivities include a student art exhibit with Volusia County Schools, an artist zone featuring ArtHaus and artists creating ‘live’ art, a creative Kidszone with take-home art projects, and a VIP Patron area inside the Retreat at Victory Circle. Adding to the festival atmosphere, there will be food trucks lining Daytona Boulevard as well as beverage and snack vendors throughout the property.

Attracting fine artists nationwide, the juried show will award $10,000 in cash including Best in Show at
$1,500; eight Awards of Distinction at $750 and five Awards of Merit at $500. The awards program will
be conducted from the Victory Circle stage on November 14 beginning at 5 p.m. Special donations will
also be provided to Volusia County Schools and ArtHaus.

Gallery500, located just below The DAYTONA hotel, will host an exhibition featuring Artists from the Beaux Arts Collective of Central Florida, as well as artist talks.
