DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 17, 2021) – ONE DAYTONA today announced plans for a new 120-unit multi-story luxury apartment complex at Icon ONE DAYTONA representing a $30 million investment in the lifestyle entertainment destination. In addition, the center announced a new food and beverage tenant with Donnie’s Donuts, a local gourmet donut shop, adding a new location.

Located at the front door to ONE DAYTONA, Prime Group, the developer of Icon at ONE DAYTONA, is planning a new 120-unit luxury apartment complex adjacent to the Fairfield Inn & Suites. Located directly across from the International Motorsports Center, construction could begin as early as third quarter 2021 and take up to 12 months. Residents will be able to choose from studio, one, two-and three-bedroom units. Icon at ONE DAYTONA is already home to a mix of students, professionals and retirees.

“With our existing Icon units seeing a fast pace of leasing, we are confident in the Daytona Beach market,” stated Larry Abbo, CEO, Prime Group. “We believe in the lifestyle concept we’ve created here with shopping, dining and entertainment within walking distance from our apartment homes. ONE DAYTONA’s programming provides something for our residents to do nearly every week of the year from outdoor markets and live entertainment to interactive community events.”

Donnie’s Donuts, a local favorite featured on the Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race”, will open a 1,500 square foot space in the center island across from popular dessert tenant Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. Located at 225 Daytona Boulevard, Suite R-100, seating will be available indoors as well as on the outdoor covered patio. Guests can enjoy fresh baked vintage and modern donuts, as well as a create-your-own option choosing toppings and frostings. Direct trade organic tea, scratch made hot chocolate, milk and juices round out the menu.

“We are very excited to be back in Daytona Beach,” stated Patti and Donald Summerlin, Co-owners of Donnie’s Donuts. “We cannot think of a better location than ONE DAYTONA to grow our customer base.”
